The Governing Board of the Common Franciscan Novitiate is made up of the major superiors of each member congregation. The Governing Board is administrative responsible for the Common Franciscan Novitiate.

The Advisory Board is made up of the Novice Directors of the member congregations. Their function is to give support to the novice ministers and to advise the Governing Board.

We, the member Congregations of the Common Franciscan Novitiate, are Franciscans of today with a passionate desire to live the Gospel according to the spirit of Francis and Clare of Assisi. This passion shapes our spirituality, our common life and ministry.

Vision Statement

As we collaborate in a Third Order Regular Common Franciscan Canonical Novitiate, we value the heritage of each member Congregation. The vision of our collaboration is:

to provide an experience of evangelical community living,
to encourage a development of Franciscan spirituality, prayer and on-going conversion,
to provide a concentrated program of Franciscan study,
to promote the Franciscan Charism
to share our giftedness and resources,
to provide a supportive peer group
to create the setting for the continued discernment of a call to Franciscan life.
to participate in shaping the future of the Franciscan family
